Terms of Use and licensing
Game use, copyright and the license for Assets and Add-Ons.
Last updated:
Operator and scope
II Games Studio is an independently run game studio. For support, privacy requests and legal or copyright inquiries, email iigamesofficial@gmail.com. Operator details are available in the legal notice.
These terms apply to this website and to material II Games Studio distributes under these terms. A separate license supplied with a particular download takes precedence for that download. Storefront terms also apply to transactions made through itch.io, Game Jolt or another platform. These terms do not replace mandatory consumer rights.
Copyright and third-party licenses
Copyright in games, website material and press images belongs to II Games Studio and the respective contributors or third-party rights holders. The studio grants rights only in material it owns or is authorized to license. Each game page gathers its published credits in one “Credits and licensing” section. For any additional contributor credits, copyright notices and third-party attributions, open Credits from the game’s main menu. The website credits are a companion to those in-game notices, not a replacement for them. Preserve any copyright and license notices supplied with a download.
Third-party and open-license material keeps its own terms. In particular, CC BY, CC BY-SA, MIT or other separately licensed material is governed by its stated license. Restrictions below do not narrow rights granted by those licenses. Download availability does not mean an asset is in the public domain.
Games and software
Unless the game's own license says otherwise, II Games Studio grants you a non-exclusive license to download, install and play a lawfully obtained copy for personal use. This does not grant permission to resell the game, repackage it as your own, redistribute its files or extract its art, audio or other resources for use in another project. Separate open-license permissions and rights granted by law remain available.
The studio permits gameplay videos, streams and editorial coverage, including monetized coverage, to the extent it controls the necessary rights. Credit the game and II Games Studio. This permission does not clear third-party music or other material whose rights are held separately.
Standard license for Assets and Add-Ons
The Assets and Add-Ons pages currently have no published downloads. The following default license applies to future items explicitly distributed by II Games Studio under these terms, unless a separate license is supplied with the item. It does not license resources extracted from a game or material merely shown in screenshots.
For a lawfully obtained Asset or Add-On, the studio grants a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and modify it in personal or commercial projects. You may distribute it as part of a completed game, application or other project, where it is incorporated into that project rather than supplied as a reusable asset collection. You may give project collaborators access to its source files only as needed to work on that project under the same restrictions.
Credit is required. Include the item name, II Games Studio, a link to https://iigames.github.io/, and any additional creator credits or license notices supplied with it. Put the credit in an accessible place such as your project's credits, documentation or README. Identify material changes you make. For example: “Asset name by II Games Studio — https://iigames.github.io/ — modified by Your name”.
You may not resell or redistribute the item, or a modified version, as a standalone download, asset pack, template, marketplace listing or other reusable resource. You may not claim authorship of the original item, remove required notices or grant others permission to use it independently of your project. Selling a completed project that incorporates the item is allowed. An item's separate license takes precedence, including where it permits broader sharing or has different attribution requirements.
SCP Foundation material
Content relating to the SCP Foundation, including the SCP Foundation logo and SCP-173, is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0). These concepts originate from the SCP Wiki and its authors.
SCP-173 was written by Moto42. The classic SCP Foundation logo is credited to far2 and Aelanna. SCP 173 Simulator adapts this material into an interactive game. Its SCP-derived creative content, including II Games Studio's adaptations, is available under CC BY-SA 3.0. Retain attribution and apply the license's ShareAlike terms when sharing adaptations.
This license does not cover Izumi Kato's Untitled 2004, its photograph or its likeness. See the SCP licensing guide. Separate game-engine software and other third-party assets retain their own licenses. This is an independent fan game and is not endorsed by the SCP Wiki.
The personal-use-only game restriction and the standard Asset/Add-On redistribution restriction above do not override CC BY-SA permissions for SCP-derived material. Reusers must comply with the applicable attribution and ShareAlike requirements.
Press kit and studio identity
Studio logos, screenshots and trailers may be used to report on or review the studio and its games, with credit to II Games Studio and relevant third-party creators. Do not imply endorsement or ownership of the studio identity. This permission does not turn the press kit into a general-purpose game-asset library or override third-party licenses.
Independent operation and international availability
II Games Studio is independently run. It is not affiliated with, owned or controlled by, or acting on behalf of any sanctioned company, organization or individual in Iran. Its games and creative work are produced independently of those parties.
International availability remains subject to applicable sanctions, export controls and platform rules. Depending on the parties, locations, ownership and transaction, restrictions can affect payments, imports or exports, software and services. Independence and the absence of a named sanctioned party do not, by themselves, establish that a transaction is permitted. Exemptions and authorizations have specific conditions; permissions for certain internet communications do not provide blanket clearance for game sales or all related payments.
Downloads, sales or support may be limited where required by law or by a hosting, storefront or payment provider. These terms do not authorize prohibited transactions or attempts to bypass restrictions. Current official information is available from US OFAC, the Council of the European Union and the UK government. OFAC also explains the scope of its internet-communications authorization. The applicable rules and a provider's own policies determine availability.
Downloads and compatibility
Check a game's listed platform and installation instructions before downloading or running it. Keep backups of important data. Availability of a download does not promise compatibility with every device, operating-system version or third-party modification. Payments, refunds and platform-specific download rules are handled through the service where you obtain the game, subject to applicable law.
Warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website, games, Assets and Add-Ons are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The studio does not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or compatibility with your system. Statutory warranties and other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain in force.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, II Games Studio and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the website or downloads, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption. This does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence or death or personal injury. These terms do not remove mandatory remedies for consumers or automatically defeat a claim concerning faulty software.
Changes and questions
Future changes will be dated on this page. They do not retroactively remove rights already granted under a download's applicable license, including an open license. Contact iigamesofficial@gmail.com for licensing permission, attribution corrections, support or copyright concerns.
